Details: A lovely, slightly oversized locket with a bloomed finish, with a pretty script monogram "ENT", that has developed a gorgeous patina with time. The functioning locket opens to reveal two interior frames. A sweet and romantic addition when worn with a beloved pendant collection, but also so beautiful and statement making worn on its own.
The means for creating a bloom finish involved dipping a gold item into a boiling acid bath. This process burned off any alloys on the surface resulting in a thin layer of soft pure gold. This thin gold skin is dotted by an infinite number of microscopic pits which cause the matte appearance.
Measurements: The locket is about 1 1/2" tall by 1 1/4" wide.
