Crafted in 9ct gold, and fully hallmarked for Chester, and the year 1899, this beautiful pendant/locket is a true piece of history.
These types of lockets were historically used as photo lockets, but i cant work out how to open this one (!) so i am selling it as a pendant! It probably is possible to remove the flower and add a picture, but your jeweler would have to do it! This one contains a beautiful pink pansy flower, which in Victorian times was used to symbolise the romantic phrase, 'Think of me'.
This pendant is a circle shape, and measures 2cm x 2cm. Its base displays full hallmarks for the maker: H G & S Ltd, and the date, 1899. It weighs a healthy 2.61g and looks wonderful on the end of a chain.
This is a perfect example of timeless antique jewellery, as striking, and easily worn today as it was 100 years ago.
